Badhangarhi is located in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand. Temple of God Kaali Mata and Lord Shiva (lord is is a Ling called Garhi) and Kaalimata temple called Badhan. Both are on the same mountain so that's why it is called Badhangarhi.
According to the legends, Nanda Devi Raj Jat was started by Jagadguru Shankaracharya. Historians have debate over it but the idols of Parvati, Bhagwati and Bhigneshwar found in Dewal, Bedini and Kaila Binayak dating back from 8th to 10th Century AD and the the inscribed idol of Ganesh of 9th Century AD at Jyurangli clarify the tradition of this kind of Yatra.
Golkonda also was known as Golla Konda (shepherd's hill) a ruined city of south India and capital of ancient Kingdom of Golkonda (c.1518–1687), is situated 11 km west of Hyderabad. It is also a mandal of Hyderabad District.
