Pineapple is a delicious tropical fruit loaded with too many health benefits. It boosts immunity, improves digestion and is full of antioxidants. Hence it’s great to add this fruit to your diet moderately.
Personally, it’s my favorite fruit but I was always worried about the aftereffect of this fruit before digging in it. A combination of some enzymes called bromelain, which breaks down protein especially on your tongue, mouth, and lips those are in direct contact causes severe irritation. So I found some better ways to eat this. One of those I am going to share with you in this post. Actually when you heat this fruit at high temperature, bromelain will be inactive and you can enjoy it without harming your mouth.
I have too many recipes to enjoy the benefits and taste of Pineapple. I am gonna tell you one of those here that is “Pan-Roasted Pineapple”.
Pineapple slices – (Round shaped) 4
Salt – ½ tsp
Black paper – 1 pinch
Sugar – 1 tsp
Mango powder – ½ tsp
Oil – 1 tsp
How to prepare:
Mix salt, black paper, sugar, mango powder and oil in a bowl. Coat all the slices with this spice mix. Heat a pan on the stove. Put some oil in it. When the oil gets heated, place pineapple slices in the pan. Keep the flame medium. It will take hardly 2 minutes to roast from one side then flip the slices and let them roast from the other side. When the slices turn golden brown, the roasted pineapple is ready.
Cooldown it slightly and serve it.
