Raw Banana Sabzi (banana vegetable) is a very tasty dish, usually, serves with Chapatis for your lunch and dinner.
As you all know Banana has very health benefits as it’s a rich source of potassium. So you can have it without any guilt if you are health conscious too. It is easy to cook and your children will surely love this. Let’s make it.
Raw bananas – 1/2 KG (Finely sliced)
Oil – 5 Tablespoons
Turmeric Powder – 1 Teaspoon
Salt – 1 Teaspoon (As per your taste)
Red Chilli Powder – 1 pinch
Coriander Powder – 1 Teaspoon
Onion – 2 Big (Finely sliced)
Tomatoes – 2 Big (Finely Chopped)
Garlic – 5-6 Cloves (Finely Chopped)
Dry Mango Powder – 1 Teaspoon
Green Chilli – 3-4 (Finely Chopped)
How to make it?
First of all, take a pan and pour 4 tablespoon oil in it (that is enough to fry 1/2 kg bananas). Fry all the bananas until it turns light golden brown. Now put another pan and pour 1-2 tablespoon oil. When oil turns hot enough add onion and garlic and saute until onion turns little bit brown then add tomatoes, green chillis, and salt. Mix them well.
Cover the pan with a lid for at least 3-4 minutes so that tomatoes can be mashed easily. Put off the lid, mash tomatoes with the cooking spoon a little bit. Add turmeric, chili powder, coriander powder and mix them.
Now finally add Fried Bananas and mix with all the ingredients, put on the lid, and let it cook for 10-15 minutes on low flame.
After that check bananas, these should be cuttable with a spoon easily to make sure the bananas are cooked well. Once it is done, add dry mango powder and mix very well. Put off the flame as your sabzi is ready to serve.
Serving Ideas –
– Serve it with hot chapatis or paranthas.
